Description
Rover V8–Powered 1974 Triumph TR6 5-Speed
This 1974 Triumph TR6 underwent a multi-year custom build following its acquisition by the current owner in 2012. It has been extensively modified and upgraded, most notably with the installation of an all-aluminum 3.5-liter Rover V8 paired with a Tremec T-5 five-speed manual transmission and a Nissan R200 limited-slip rear differential. Finished in Brooklands Green over a tan leather interior, the car also features a RAT-CO replacement frame, four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, upgraded suspension, and 17″ Image RM1 multi-piece wheels. The build further includes air conditioning, a custom exhaust system, MX-5-spec bucket seats, and modern amenities like a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo.
Additional performance components include an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, ceramic-coated tubular headers, PerTronix electronic ignition, and an aluminum radiator. The cabin was re-trimmed with tan leather upholstery featuring green piping and includes a wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel, aftermarket instrumentation, a billet aluminum shift knob, and a fabricated center stack. Less than one mile has been added since the completion of the build, and total chassis mileage is unknown. This heavily upgraded TR6 is now offered on dealer consignment in Arizona with a detailed build summary and a clean Arizona title.
