Description
1962 Chevrolet Corvette 4-Speed – Ermine White, Restored, LHD, Matching Red Interior
This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is a two-owner example that underwent a restoration tailored to the preferences of its current owner. Originally finished in red, the car was repainted in Ermine White during the restoration and received a color-matched interior refresh in red imitation leather, presenting today in very well-kept and immaculate condition. This final-year C1 Corvette combines vintage style with a tasteful personal touch and retains its period character, including a 4-speed manual transmission and drum brakes at all four corners.
The body presents in excellent condition, with uniform paintwork and no visible stress or cracking in the fiberglass. The convertible top shows minor signs of wear, while the factory removable hardtop—used just once since the restoration—remains in excellent condition and accompanies the sale. Chrome trim, badging, and glass are reported to be in equally good shape.
Inside, the reupholstered cabin features a striking red imitation leather interior, in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. Correct-style switchgear, dash layout, and gauges maintain the factory look. The 4-speed floor-mounted shifter pairs with the classic 3-spoke Corvette steering wheel, delivering an authentic C1 driving experience.
Under the hood, the car now features a 4637cc (4.6L) V8 engine—less than the factory 5358cc but still delivering a solid 147 kW (200 hp) to the rear wheels. Power is sent through a 4-speed manual transmission to a rear-wheel-drive layout. Both front and rear brakes remain drum-type, as originally equipped.
This ’62 model represents the final year of the first-generation Corvette and features a number of subtle refinements that set it apart, including its sleeker rear styling and absence of the previous years’ chrome tooth grille.
