This 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster is an extremely rare early-production example, finished in Opalescent Dark Green over a Beige interior with a French Grey hood. This particular car is chassis number 64, making it one of the very first Left-Hand Drive (LHD) models produced. Built in May 1961 and originally sold to Dr. J. Rudolph in Santa Fe Springs, it retains its matching-numbers engine and original factory specification, as confirmed by its Heritage Certificate.
The car underwent a full restoration in 2012, followed by a refresh in 2019, and remains in outstanding condition throughout, preserving its period-correct details. Given that the majority of the first 90 E-Types were UK-market cars, this particular example is an especially significant early-production LHD model.
With its external bonnet locks, highly desirable early chassis number, and exceptional provenance, this E-Type ticks every box for serious collectors. Inspections from E-Type experts are welcomed prior to sale. A rare opportunity to own one of the most sought-after early E-Type Roadsters.
