Description
Tremec 5-Speed–Equipped 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe with 406ci V8
This 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe is a traditional-style street rod that blends iconic early Ford design with modern performance upgrades. The ’32 3-Window body is among the most desirable and recognizable silhouettes of the pre-war Ford lineup, known for its chopped roofline, integrated beltline, and signature clamshell fenders. This example features a fiberglass body finished in bright yellow over a black interior and is powered by a 406ci small-block V8 mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission.
Under previous ownership, the car underwent a custom build that focused on delivering period-correct aesthetics with enhanced performance and reliability. The 406ci V8 is reported to have been professionally built with performance internals, and it is paired with tubular headers and a dual exhaust system for a strong rumble. A Tremec TKO five-speed manual gearbox allows for smooth highway cruising as well as aggressive shifting, sending power to the rear wheels through a reinforced rear end.
The body is finished in vibrant yellow with a high-gloss finish, complemented by shaved door handles, louvered hood panels, custom side mirrors, and subtle chrome accents. The car rides on polished multi-spoke wheels wrapped in staggered performance radial tires. Suspension modifications include updated components front and rear for improved ride quality and control, and the car is equipped with front disc brakes for confident stopping power.
Inside, the black interior is fitted with custom bucket seats, a painted dash with retro-style gauges, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a floor-mounted shifter, and clean black carpeting. Additional touches include billet accents, under-dash auxiliary controls, and a hidden stereo system. While modern in build, the interior retains a minimalist, driver-focused layout in keeping with the street rod aesthetic.
Approximately 12,000 miles have been added since the completion of the build. This Coupe has been garage-kept, carefully maintained, and is reported to run and drive extremely well. It’s now being offered by its second owner with a clean title and recent service.
This 1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe represents an ideal blend of vintage hot rod styling and contemporary driving performance. With its iconic body lines, powerful 406ci V8, Tremec 5-speed gearbox, and detailed presentation, it stands as a show-ready street rod that’s equally at home on back roads or cruise nights.
